Burton Sailing Club

Hello to you all,

Just an update around the AGM.  It all passed off very well with members volunteering and being elected to all bar one of the GC positions.  One interesting topic of discussion was the thinking behind the clubs 5 year plan, this was shared via a short presentation and discussion with those present which met with an enthusiastic response.  I have included an extract here; we hope to share the presentation again on a Sunday and Wednesday after racing. The more people who can share in this the more successful it will be.

Due to the adverse weather conditions affecting the local roads there will be no club sailing today (5th Feb).

The AGM will be held in th clubhouse on 11th February 2012 starting at 1700. This will be followed by a buffet and then the Prize Giving and then to round the night off a Disco. Please make every effort to attend this important event and remember the club is always looking out for willing volunteers to help ease the load throughout the new sailing year, which has already started off with some excellent and well attended sailing. The agenda for the AGM can be found in the member postings, whats that....you are amember and you cannot see them, then please register yourself on the website!
